Safety Tips

At Guyana Matrimony, your safety is our highest priority. While our mandatory ID verification and “60-Day Connection Rule” provide a strong layer of protection, we encourage every member to be “Street Smart” and “App Smart.”

1. Protecting Your Information

  • Never Share Financial Details: No legitimate member of this community will ever ask you for money, bank details, or your MMG password. If someone asks for financial “help” or a “loan,” report them immediately.
  • Keep Communication on the App: Our platform is designed to be a safe “middle ground.” We recommend keeping your conversations within the app until you have met in person and established significant trust. This allows our verification systems to protect you.
  • Protect Your Privacy: Be cautious about sharing your home address, workplace, or the specific school your children attend until you are certain of your match’s intentions.

2. Meeting in Person: The “Public First” Rule

  • Always Meet in Public: For your first several meetings, choose a well-lit, busy public place—like a popular restaurant, a mall, or a public promenade. Never agree to a first meeting at a private residence or a secluded location.
  • Tell a Friend: Always let a trusted friend or family member know where you are going, who you are meeting, and what time you expect to be home.
  • Stay in Control of Your Transport: Arrange your own transportation to and from the date. Do not rely on your match to pick you up at your home for the first meeting.
  • Stay Sober: Keep your wits about you. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption during initial meetings so you can make clear-headed decisions.

3. The “60-Day Foundation” (Success Tips)

We implemented the 60-Day Rule for a reason: Real love takes time.

  • Watch for Red Flags: Be wary of anyone who tries to rush you into marriage or the “Match Certificate” stage before you feel ready.
  • Ask the Hard Questions: Use the first 60 days to discuss values, family, religion, and financial goals. This is a matrimonial app—it’s okay to talk about the future!
  • Involve Your Circle: Marriage is a union of families, not just individuals. Our traditions value the wisdom of family when making marriage decisions. We encourage you to introduce your match to your family (a requirement for the Match Certificate) as a way to get a second opinion from people who love you.

4. How to Report a Concern

If you encounter a profile that seems suspicious, or if a member makes you feel uncomfortable, we want to know.

  • The Report Button: Use the “Report” feature on any profile or within a chat.
  • What We Investigate: * Inappropriate or abusive language.
    • Profiles using fake or “catfish” photos.
    • Solicitation of money or commercial services.
    • Users who are already married or misrepresented their status.

5. Our Commitment to You

Wazify LLC maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. Any member found to be violating our Code of Conduct will be permanently banned from the platform, forfeiting all membership fees and grant eligibility.
